Drama set in the year 0BC starring Vanessa Redgrave & Ron Moody, also featuring Kwame Kwei-Armah as Caspar. François Evans produced a touching and expansive soundtrack with a rich, rhythmic sound world.

The score of Shaun Mosley's biblical epic used recordings of ancient instruments from Europe, Africa & Asia. A female Hungarian 'gypsy' tenor (Irène Kertecz-Wilkinson) and Boden's children's choir sang in ancient Hebrew. Other instruments in the ensemble: a Turkish Saz, Arab mizwig, African kalimba, oboe, electronics and an acoustic ensemble of four percussionists, two whirl pipes, Ondes Martenot and solo strings.

François recorded at Air-Edel studios under the auspices of Tom Leader - sound engineer for Kate Bush's The Sensual World album. Many thanks to music consultant Maggie Rodford.
