Roy Budd's British film music sound for features such as The Stone Killer (1973), The Internecine Project (1974) and Foxbat (1977) have influenced me with their mix of funky jazz and 'serious' strings. Simpler and less formal than Laurie Johnson's style, I like the way Budd used to integrate analogue synthesizers with his work.
